In The Swing of the Pendulum, the vain Gázos struggles to make ends meet. He doesn't know that his beloved wife, Riba, has started her first job as a model. Their life together changes in every way. His coworkers tempt Gázos to reveal private details about their relationship, but secretly, he is worried about his marriage. He decides to make his wife jealous with the beautiful Kati. Suddenly, a stranger appears in their bed. Who is he, and what does he want? And why does his best friend Vilmos seem so sure about what's going on?
