Nursing group supervision has been a standard and now a self-evident element of the nursing education program since 1993. Over the years, its execution has remained essentially unchanged. The model, developed by Lisbeth Lindell, has undergone only minor revisions since its inception in 1993 (Lindell, 2014). What has changed over time is the number of sessions per semester that students can attend. Currently, students meet 2-4 times per semester (semesters 2-6), depending on whether they are in clinical practice (more sessions) or not. Initially, in the 1990s, students likely participated in four sessions per semester during all terms.
