Dear reader,
We are pleased to present this special issue of SLOVO – Journal of Slavic Languages, Literatures and Culture, Volume 66 (1) "Answering Empirical Questions: A Volume in Honor of Tore Nesset", celebrating our colleague and friend Prof. Tore Nesset from UiT - The Arctic University of Norway. The current special issue was edited by Laura A. Janda from UiT and Slovo's Anastasia Makarova. All research articles have undergone the peer-review process usual for Slovo, while the essays have been reviewed by the editors. We would like to thank Laura and Anastasia, as well as all the authors and re-
viewers for their work on the volume.
We are happy to see that so many colleagues from all over the world have contributed to this volume and would like to join them in wishing Tore all the very best for his 60th birthday. This year, Olena Jansson from the University of Stockholm joined Slovo's editorial team. Welcome, Olena! We are also expecting a regular issue of Slovo, Volume 66 (2), which will be coming out in December-January. More information about aims, scope, as well as guidelines
for contributors can always be found on our webpage, https://journals.uu.se/slovo/.
