The Swedish music group Thirteen Moons seemed to come out of nowhere in the Eighties with a music that resonated a profoundly reflective, yearning melancholia inherent in the Nordic psyche. They acted on an independent scene deeply affected by English post-punk, but took their inspiration from completely different sources, far removed from the prevailing pop and rock paradigm. There were hopes for widespread international success and critics were enthusiastic but the future would hold different things in store. The music remains and astounds to this day.
This is the second edition, hard cover version with an updated foreword. In memory of Mats Gunnarsson.
